Kawartha Speedway for the Don Biederman Memorial
Gowan Racing Ent. took their plan "B" car to Kawartha Speedway for the first time ever. Although the team and driver had never ran there prior, they drove it like it was their home track. Coming out on top in the heat, finishing 1st; Taking the top qualifier award, prize money and the checkered flag.
The GRE team after bolting on new tires for the feature had high hopes. They were quickly squashed when the new tires did not perform properly. After a pit stop, the driver and crew toughed it out and came home with a 17th place finish. It wasn't what they had hoped for, but still enjoyed their first trip to Kawartha.
Next race is on August 19th at Delaware Speedway. Racing starts at 8pm.
